Complyax is a business-to-business platform. This policy sets out clearly when refunds are available and when they are not. We have written it plainly so there is no ambiguity.
1. Scope
This policy applies to accounting firms and professionals subscribing to Complyax. Complyax is a B2B service. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not apply to business-to-business contracts. Your rights are as set out in this policy and our Terms of Use.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
- Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing period.
- If you cancel, access continues to the end of the current billing period. No refund is given for the unused portion.
- We do not offer pro-rata refunds on monthly subscriptions.
3. Annual Subscriptions
- Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of the subscription year.
- Cancellation within 14 days of the start date, where the platform has not been used substantively, entitles you to a full refund.
- Cancellation after 14 days — no refund. Access continues to the end of the annual period.
- Cancellation after 14 days but before the midpoint of the year — we may at our discretion offer a credit towards a future subscription. This is not a right.
4. Service Failure
If the platform is unavailable for an extended unplanned period due to a fault on our part, we will assess the impact and may offer a credit or partial refund proportionate to the period affected. Planned maintenance notified in advance does not qualify.
If the platform consistently fails to perform as described on complyax.com, raise a complaint at hello@complyax.com. We will respond within 10 business days and, where a genuine service failure is confirmed, apply an appropriate remedy.
5. Free Trial
Where a free trial is offered, no payment is taken during the trial. The subscription activates automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before expiry. Cancellation during the trial results in no charge.
6. What Is Not Refundable
- You changed your mind after purchasing.
- A member of your team did not use the platform.
- You found an alternative product.
- An AI output did not meet your expectations. Outputs are drafts requiring professional review — this is stated clearly before purchase and at the point of download.
- You were unable to integrate the platform with third-party software due to factors outside our control.
- You failed to cancel before a renewal date.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email hello@complyax.com with the subject: Refund Request — [your firm name]. Include your account email, the date of purchase and the reason for the request.
We will acknowledge within 2 business days and respond with a decision within 10 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe within 5 to 10 business days.
8. Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. Contact us first — most issues are resolved without a chargeback.
9. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales.
